TL; DR – ARGH 2D IMAGES

I love pattern testing for TAUKO Magazine. This issue, I had the pleasure of sewing the MMA MORENA shirt dress from Issue 16. This was some fabric I had in my stash from one of my mystery boxes from Mood Fabrics, and it was perfect for this dress.

Now, I’ve been the one who has figured out clever designs in the past and then passing along the info, but this one STUMPED me at the collar/facing. I think I figured it out, but the issue was partially the illustrations were for not-larger sized versions of the dress which threw me. Usually, because of ease, while my measurements say I should make a size 7, I size down to a size 6, which I shouldn’t have done in this case. It should close in the front by buttons, but I did it with a zipper instead due to the size I made.

I like it better with the zipper anyway.

I meant to do this write up ages ago when the pattern first launched, but I didn’t because of traveling and other urgent sewing projects (which I will write up as soon as I have good pictures of the final garments!).
