TL; DR – Summertime, and the livin’s easy…

I really love being a pattern tester for TAUKO magazine. And Issue 15 (OUT TODAY!) is no different when it comes to cute patterns. I got to test the NOE pattern, and it is the perfect summer pattern.

It’s a straightforward sew, and (if you choose the right fabric, which I did for a change!) its light and flowy and comfortable. I did French seems, and I used pre-made bias tape for the armholes and hem, but everything else is enclosed already. I made the short version, and didn’t add pockets (it comes with pockets) because the length is short and the pockets are large.

And did I take inspiration for the color from the sample shown in the magazine? Maybe, but it looked so lovely, and I had this yellow sheet that I had thrifted, so I just went for it. I would make the long version next time, but I didn’t have enough fabric this time around to do it!
