TL; DR – Wear whatever you want, including horizontal stripes. I hate plackets.

I have had this hot pink striped knit (again, the theme of knits) forever, and I have always wanted to make a cute polo dress out of it. I found the Polina Dress by CKC Patterns. It’s not as size-inclusive as I would have liked, but it is dead simple to cut and sew.

Except the plackets.

Look, it wasn’t *hard* and there was a video, but somehow I still managed to mess them up just enough to be sloppy.

BUT BEHOLD MY PATTERN MATCHING!

So sloppy placket, impeccable pattern matching, which makes for a perfectly cut summer dress.

And don’t ever let them tell you not to wear horizontal stripes.
