TL; DR – So. Many. Yokes! And I love being able to rescue a garment to make another garment.
I tested the extended sizing for the MVP BD Shirt by Forest & Thread. I repurposed a Liberty of London cotton from the Mitchell Dress I made a few years ago but didn’t fit me anymore. I was so relieved I found a project where I could use this lovely print.
The pattern is (rightfully) labeled as “advanced” but the instructions are so clear and so supportive, anyone who has sewn something before could do it with a little patience and perseverance. Front yoke, back yoke, cuffs, covered button placket…This pattern will up your sewing skill-set.
I really like the shirt, and I went with snaps instead of buttons because that’s how I roll these days, but if you’re looking for a solid shirt pattern, then this is it!
