Pattern Review: Vienne Coat from SIZE:me

TL; DR – I MANAGED TO MAKE A LINED COAT!

After my first (and only) lined coat disaster from my early days of sewing, I stayed away from sewing anything with a lining. But I fell in love with the Vienne coat from SIZE:me, and decided to give it a try. I cut it, and then…waited.

And then, I REALIZED THERE WAS A VIDEO!

This ended up being MUCH easier than I thought it was going to be. I even managed to do the sleeves (although I did have to watch the video four times to make sense of what was happening). The top coat is a lighter wool blend, and then the lining is a light cotton (since it doesn’t get THAT cold here). I finished it, and it snowed, and I wore it out and it kept me warm!

The thing with coats is that, well, I don’t need THAT many coats (and I have a lot already!), but if I do need/want something heavier, I’ll be using this pattern again!
