TL; DR – I got nothing on this one, the pattern is still great and I learned my lesson to slow down, read (and re-read) the directions.
Just look at how adorable this dress is. The facing isn’t quite right on the inside, but I’m not sure what I did differently from the other Elodie dress I made. This one is shorter, mostly because I didn’t have enough fabric to make it any longer, but I love the length. It’s also much MUCH easier to cut out of the fabric when you’re making the shorter version.
But other than that, I made it exactly the same way, it looks amazing on me, I have four other of these dresses lined up to make. I still had to watch the video on making the waist band a few times to make sure I got it right, but I got it right, so that’s all that matters ultimately.
Also, once again hemmed the skirt before attaching it to the bodice, rather than leave it as a final step, and let me tell you, GAME. CHANGER.
But BEHOLD, I look adorable.
