Pattern Review: M8286

TL; DR – I made this harder than it needed to me. It looks complicated but it quite simple and satisfying.

Look, you offer me a shirt dress that also wraps? YES PLEASE. I have a bit of a history with this pattern; I bought it a long time ago in the wrong size range, and then waited (again) for a sale on simplicity.com (which happen frequently) to buy the right size range. Then I cut it out but decided I wasn’t in the mood for a Big 3 (or 4) pattern instructions. AND THEN, I realized that past me cut out the wrong size.

Thankfully the pattern includes a 5/8″ seam allowance so I was able to make it work.

I did make it more difficult than it needed to be (like, sewing the bodice pieces together?) but once I figured it out, it is very simple and straightforward. This is some groovy fabric I got from a destash group AGES ago, and I am thrilled with how it turned out!
